How much does a website cost in Bangladesh in 2026?

This is the question every business asks first and almost nobody answers in public. So here it is with the numbers in it. Every figure below is in Bangladesh Taka, and every figure for our own work is the price we publish rather than an opening position we would negotiate later.

What a website costs in Bangladesh right now

Across studios and agencies in Dhaka, the usual asking prices land in three bands:

  • A portfolio or business website: ৳30,000 to ৳60,000 and up.
  • An eCommerce store: ৳50,000 to ৳100,000 and up.
  • A custom web application: ৳100,000 and up.

Ours are fixed and published: ৳19,999 for a portfolio or business website, ৳30,000 for an eCommerce website, and a quote to fit for a custom web application. International clients get the same fixed-price model in US dollars.

What actually moves the price

  • Pages. Five pages is not five times the work of one, but fifty is. Most businesses need fewer pages than they think, and cutting the list is usually the cheapest decision available.
  • Selling online. A catalogue, a cart, a checkout and an order flow are a second product living inside the first one. That is the whole reason an eCommerce build costs more than a business site.
  • Custom features. Booking, memberships, dashboards, an integration with something you already run. Each one is real engineering and each one should be quoted on its own line, not folded into a round number.
  • Content. Words are work whoever does them. If you write them, the price stays where it is. If nobody writes them, the project stalls, and a stalled project costs more than a written one.
  • Photography. A shop with real photographs of its own products outsells one running stock images. That is a separate cost and it is worth planning for rather than discovering.

What should be included at any price

Whatever you pay, these are not extras. Ask for them by name and see what the answer is.

  • A design made for your business rather than a bought template.
  • A site that works properly on a phone, because that is where your visitors are.
  • The SEO basics in place before launch, not sold back to you afterwards.
  • Pages that load fast on mobile data, not just on office wifi.
  • A way to reach you that people actually use, which in Bangladesh usually means WhatsApp.
  • Support through launch and a clear answer about what happens after it.

Three questions to ask any quote

  1. Is this price fixed in writing, and what would change it? A quote that can move once can move again.
  2. Who owns the domain, the hosting and the content when it is finished? The answer should be you, in your own name, with full access handed over.
  3. What happens after launch, and who answers in six months? Most websites do not break on launch day. They break later.

If you want the long version of the third question, we wrote what to check before you pay, and if you are still drawing up a shortlist there is an honest roundup of web development companies in Bangladesh.

Our own prices, and what each package includes, are on the plans on the homepage and on the web development company in Dhaka page.
